‍ ‍Building the Copilot factory before the scale arrives

‍ ‍Global Energy Supermajor  ·  Energy  ·  Global  ·  36 live Copilot Studio agents  ·  Engagement in progress

CONTEXT

‍ ‍A global energy supermajor with a modest live estate today — 36 Copilot Studio agents — but board-level ambition to scale Copilot across the enterprise. The priority is to put the operating model and guardrails in place now, so scale doesn’t outrun control and leave duplicated, ownerless ‘zombie’ agents with no lifecycle and no off-switch.

‍ ‍‍WHAT I DID

‍ ‍•     Designing an end-to-end AI lifecycle and governance operating model — intake → build → deploy → monitor → retire.

‍ ‍•     Introducing demand management, an agent registry and an AI-Ops capability, so every agent has an owner, a lifecycle and a decommission trigger.

‍ ‍•     Embedding Trustworthy-AI (ALTAI-aligned) checks proportionate to each use case’s risk.

‍ ‍•     Challenging the architecture and facilitating the cross-functional workshops to align teams — applying proven operating-model thinking and reusable templates rather than starting from a blank page.

‍ ‍‍OUTCOME

‍ ‍An enterprise AI lifecycle and governance model taking shape, the real failure modes already surfaced (zombie agents, missing decommission triggers), and an AI-Ops baseline being established — built to scale from tens of agents to many.

‍ ‍‍WHY IT MATTERS

‍ ‍Get the factory and the guardrails right at 36, and scaling to thousands becomes an operating decision, not a risk event.
