One thing that has struck me recently is how many governance approaches quietly assume the world will stand still long enough for us to govern it. AI seems determined to test that assumption on a daily basis.
Models change, data changes, suppliers change and people discover new ways of using things. The UK Government toolkit talks about monitoring, which feels particularly important. The real challenge is not creating governance once. It is keeping governance alive after the original excitement has faded and the use case has become part of day-to-day operations.
